Girls, Do You Want Flat Abs?

If your biggest complaint is that your efforts to eliminate your ab fat go unheeded and without any luck, you aren’t alone. The good news is that you have come to the right place. It’s a common mistake to think you cannot target any specific area. Actually, you can – in fact, if you work on increasing the strength and power of your core you will target your abs and you will also get a full body workout. woman with flat stomach

It’s time to Lunge Forward

When you lunge you need to keep your upper body straight and your chin has to be up. You will step forward with one leg, and lower your hip until both knees are at a 90 degree angle. The knee on the leg that is forward needs to be aligned with your ankle and not over your toe. Make sure that you pull in your abdominal muscles.

If you want to do more advanced lunges you can try the walking lunge. This will challenge your balance, especially if you put a dumbbell in each hand. Once you master that you can try the walking overhead lunge. Here you put a single barbell over your head. You choose the weight. Pull your shoulders to the ground and keep your head level while you look forward. Don’t bend your elbows. Do this 12 to 15 times for 2 to 3 sets.

Hanging Around

The hanging leg raise movement really works the core. You will love how this trains your midsection. Raise your legs until you are at a 90 degree angle with your torso and legs. Change the leg position from bent to straight to really target your abs. You can also modify and do lying leg raises by lying on the ground and pushing your feet straight up and over your heart.

Burpees

Burpees are that exercise that we love to hate. It is a full body workout that strengthens. You don’t need a single piece of equipment so there is no reason not to do it. Stand with your arms at your sides and your feet hip width apart. Now squat and place your hands on the ground under your shoulders, keeping your abs tight to your spine. Then jump feet back into the plank position and pushup immediately. Now extend your arms back into the plank position and jump feet back into your hands landing in your squat position, then jump up reaching your arms to the sky. Repeat until you fail.

Enjoy the Mile ‘High’

High intensity running will stimulate what’s called an ‘after burn.’ This is when your body keeps burning calories after your workout is done – post exercise. How do you get this? Go for a walk, hike, or bike. If you think you don’t have time to get 30 minutes of cardio a day, why not include interval training into your schedule. Here you run really fast for a short period of time, which burns tons of calories at once. Running is a great way to get your cardio exercise and watch your body become toned.

Heat It Up

Hot yoga will help your metabolism, improve your circulation and flush toxins from the body.

Meals for Your Core

Great, we’ve worked out the exercises, now it’s time to tweak what you eat. If you aren’t eating right, you could be at the gym for 5 or 6 hours and still not get your six pack. If you want to see results you have to combine the foods with the right exercises. This will help to get rid of bloating and stop your cravings so you can maintain your healthy metabolism.

Protein Power

Choose foods that are good sources of protein and low in fat like lean meats, nuts, beans, etc. Protein makes you feel full for longer and it helps to build lean muscle mass. After a workout you should make sure you have 10 to 20 grams of protein.

Boost Your HGH

HGH, or human growth hormone is produced by your pituitary gland and it helps to keep you lean and to reduce belly fat. Taking foods like pineapple, Goji berries, fava beans, coconut oil, yogurt, grass fed beef, eggs and watermelon can help boost HGH levels. You may also try an HGH releaser such as Genf20 Plus to help boost your Somatotropin (HGH) levels much faster. More on the HGH booster Genf20 Plus can be found at this link!

Go Green

Green foods are great foods. You can eat them regularly and enjoy their healthy nutrients that include minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and fiber.

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)

Essential fatty acids will increase your metabolic rate, which means you are going to burn more calories. Look for good fats – they include olive oil, omegas, coconut oil, etc. Your body can easily use them and they do not contribute to a growing waistline if consumed in moderation.

You Are What You Drink

You aren’t just what you eat – you are also what you drink. Alcohol and soft drinks are packed with calories that have no nutritional value. The best liquid you can drink is water. It flushes waste from you body, helps with digestion and makes you feel full. Add fresh lemon if you want a different taste.

Now that you know what to eat and drink to get the abs you always desired you must now also know what not to eat. For more on foods that can sabotage your quest towards perfect abs click here!
