The Secret to Keeping Your New Year’s Resolution

New Years – with it comes many New Year’s resolutions. However, according to research done at the University of Scranton a whopping 92 percent of resolutions actually fail. So what can you do to be in the 8 percent that are successful?

You make a New Year’s resolution – you tell yourself you’re going to be a better parent, lose 15 pounds, save money for a vacation, and the list goes on. But it’s just telling… there’s a much better way …. Thinking… when you think yourself 15 pounds lighter you will actually make it happen.

In addition, it all begins with making goals right from the start, every day. For example, your goal is to wake up and eat a protein packed breakfast every day, not once a month. Or perhaps your goal is to take an HGH supplement daily to help lose fat and gain lean muscle mass – you’re going to do this every day, not once in awhile when you think about it.

Of course, it can be easier said than done. Goals can be set and broken. The good news is like the many other men who have hopes for 2015 making sure they happen can be as simple as just make a few small changes. We’re going to look at the four most common resolutions to fail:

1.       Weight loss

2.       Money

3.       Fitness

4.       Family

Great, now let’s have a look at what you can do to make sure they happen. These tips are great way to get you focused and help you stay on track with your resolutions.

#1 Resolution Failure- Lose weight

#1 Resolution Success – Eat the right stuff

You need to eat smaller meals more often and you would be able to avoid everything you dread relating to weight gain – food binges, afternoon slumps, extra seasonal pounds, etc.

Begin with six small meals throughout your day. Make each meal a blend of fiber, protein and carbs but just keep mini in mind. This will make you feel full and stop cravings. If you can, it’s helpful to plan your meals on a weekly basis.

#2 Resolution Failure – Save more money

#2 Resolution Success – Stop relying on your bank

For those short term savings goals such as a vacation think about how much you need to save and then figure out how you need to put aside each week to meet your goal. Set up an account with one of the online banks like ING where you are still covered by the FDIC, but they offer higher interest rates, fewer charges and that little effort to get your money back out can slow you from taking it out for impulse buys but it’s readily available for a real emergency.

#3 Resolution Failure – Improving your workout and results

#3 Resolution Success – Spend less time in the gym and add an HGH supplement like Genf20 to your workout regime

Shorter workouts aren’t a myth – they are a reality. Truth be told we’ve learned that shorter higher intensity workouts are far more successful. We’ve also learned that when used in conjunction with an HGH supplement like Genf20 Plus you can enjoy the benefits of lean muscle mass, reduced body fat, and overall having more energy and feeling like you did when you were younger.

A recent study was done on Canadian college students who were asked to perform as many repetitions as they could for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds resting. Exercises done included things like pushups, burpee, jumping jacks, etc. The group repeated this 8 times for a total of 4 minutes. They did this for 4 days for 4 weeks. At the end of the 4 weeks, they had increased their aerobic capacity by 8 percent. This was the same increase as the group that ran on a treadmill for 30 minutes every day.

Think about it just 4 minutes every 4 days – you’ve got this! You can achieve this!

#4 Resolution Failure – Being a better family person than you have

#4 Resolution Success – Protecting your family and weathering the ups/downs

If all of the natural disasters we’ve seen in recent years have taught us, something it’s that you can never know what can come your way. If you want to be a better family person, you need to have plans in place for whatever might come your way. Do you have a plan if you or your partner becomes ill? Do you have a plan in place for a natural disaster? Do you have a plan in place if one of your children needed special attention – i.e. learning disability, illness, special needs, etc? If you want to be a better family person, be prepared and rather than stressing when something comes up, you be the level head that prevails.

New Year’s resolutions are almost like a rite of passage and the most common resolutions are related to weight loss or fitness. Don’t over think this and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Instead, approach this and think your way to success.
