GenF20 Plus Supplementation is extremely safe. Below you’ll find a list of ingredients found in Genf20 Plus and the side effects and allergies that are associated with each. There is not enough research to determine whether the use of L-Arginine is safe so it is recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding you don’t use.
There may be an allergic reaction to L-Arginine and in the worst cases it can cause the airways to swell closed.
L-Arginine might make herpes worse. If you have had a heart attack, it can increase the risk of death. L-Arginine may interfere with some high blood pressure medications and medications that increase blood flow to one’s heart. It can also interfere with Viagra. If you are going to be having surgery, you must stop taking L-Arginine at least 2 weeks before your surgery.
• GTF Chromium
Side effects with GTF Chromium are rare and but there have been a few reports of side effects and includes stomach irritation, itching, and flushing of the skin. A few people have reported fast irregular, heartbeats after using GTF Chromium
The University of Maryland Medical Center reports moderate amounts of GTF Chromium are thought to increase the insulin’s effectiveness, which is the hormone responsible for controlling a one’s blood sugar levels. However, when GTF Chromium intake becomes too high it can slow down the hormone, which can lead to high blood sugar and/or hyperglycemia. The University of Maryland Medical also reports that there have been two cases of kidney damage linked to the use of GTF Chromium.
Use GTF Chromium cautiously if you have stomach, liver, skin and/or urinary tract issues.
Signs of an allergic reaction include hives and in serious cases, it can include swelling of the lips, throat or tongue and difficulty breathing.
Some drugs, such as proton-pump inhibitors, corticosteroids, and antacids change the digestive properties of the stomach and it can prevent the absorption of GTF Chromium by the body. With other drugs, GTF Chromium will improve the effectiveness of some drugs such as nicotinic acid, beta-blockers, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, insulin and prostaglandin inhibitors.
There are minor side effects associated with L-Lysine that include stomach pain and diarrhea. It is not recommended that you use L-Lysine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as there is no research that confirms its safe use.
There has been a single report of kidney disease associate to using L-Lysine.
If L-Lysine is used in excess, it can cause an allergic reaction, which can vary in severity depending on the person. Allergic reactions can include, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue or face, and in very serious cases it can lead to throat swelling and having difficulty breathing.
L-Lysine interacts with calcium supplements. As well, L-Lysine should never be used when other drugs are being taken especially some types of antibiotics streptomycin, netilmicin, tobracin, neomycin, kanamycin, gentamicin, amikacin, and tobramycin. The reaction can cause lethal body toxins.
There are no known side effects although one trial did discover those that were taking L-Ornithine had a higher than average heart rate after exercising and during the recovery period.
There has not been enough date collected to provide drug interactions and there are no recorded allergies.
There are no known side effects or allergies to the use of L-Glutamine. Adults should never take more than 40 grams of glutamine daily.
If you have sensitivity to MSG you could also have sensitivity to glutamine. Seizure medications, chemotherapy, and lactulose all interact with L-Glutamine.
• Phosphatidyl Choline
Phosphatidyl choline has some minor side effects that include diarrhea, excessive sweating, and stomach upset. Phosphatidyl choline injections can cause swelling, irritation, itching, bruising, burning, redness and pain at the injection site. There are no known allergies.
Phosphatidyl choline interacts with medications for Alzheimer’s disease, drying medications, acetylcholinesterase inhibitors and glaucoma medication.
• Astragalus Root Extract
There are no known side effects or allergies for Astragalus Root Extract. There is not adequate information relating to the use of Astragalus Root Extract during pregnancy or breastfeeding so it is recommended that you do not use.
Lithium, Cyclophosphamide and medications that decrease the immune system can interact with Astragalus Root Extract.
