Not Reaching Your Fitness Goals – Find Out Why

You are going to the gym regularly, doing your workouts, and you find you are lacking results at the gym, which can really cause frustration. Keep reading, because these three things can be the difference between not reaching your fitness goals and be very successful.

#1 You Aren’t Working as Hard as You Think

Anytime you enter a gym, if you have a look around, you’ll see the same familiar pattern. There will be a handful of guys that are just giving it and really working throughout their workout. The rest of the guys are there putting in half the effort. They’re busy on their phones or watching television, hardly even breaking into a sweat. So if you are one of those in this group you might have been at the gym, but your 60 minute workout wasn’t likely to be effective at all.

An interesting study just released, showed that in general, people have a tendency of exaggerating how much they exercise. Doing this once or twice – fine, but you aren’t doing yourself any good when you do it over and over. For example, let’s say you bench press 100 pounds, but when you post it to Facebook it’s double that. How ill that actually help you to be able to press more weight and get a good workout?

Recognizing you aren’t working as hard as you thought you were can be hard to accept, but once you do, you can start to focus on your real workout.

#2 You Have Not Put a Plan in Place

Why are you training? What’s the purpose behind your workout? Every time you go to the gym it is important that you have your plan in place. A purpose for it all – without that purpose you are not going to see improvement like you want.

Your plan and your goal(s) don’t have to be fancy. It can be as simple as I want to do squats, bench presses and deadlifts today, or I want to do 3 reps of every exercise today.

Each workout you do try competing against yourself, try to improve from your last workout. If you did one rep last time, this time aim for two. If you did 10 pounds last time, this time aim for 12. You just might surprise yourself and kick your own butt.

Take the time to track your plan and your goals and how you are doing achieving them.

#3 You Haven’t Learned how to be Uncomfortable

Too many people start a workout and years later they are still doing that same workout and then wondering why they aren’t seeing the results they expected. What happens is you get into that comfortable routine and you aren’t really in a hurry to change it, because that would be uncomfortable.

This doesn’t mean you need to change your program weekly, but if you can’t remember the last time you changed your workout, then now would be a good time to do that. You see, when you change it up it stimulates your muscles and makes them have to work differently. As a result, you then are more likely to see results.

The problem is that we tend to like to stay with what we are comfortable with and so we aren’t overly enthusiastic about changing our workouts. Be brave, be uncomfortable for awhile so that you can enjoy the benefits.

One thing you can do to help increase the benefits you see at the gym and help you in reaching your fitness goals, is to take an HGH supplement like Genf20 Plus. These supplements help your body to produce more HGH naturally and this can help with weight loss and the building of lean muscle, in addition to speeding up recovery and healing after injury.
